Central Europe, after the mid-18th century
Malleable iron. The double-bolt mechanism is inside a case, the lid of which is decorated with pierced brass scrolling foliage. The support plate is pierced into scrolling raised acanthus leaves and ribbons. Forged volute latch handle. Decorated with grooving.
